Test riding

When you are buying a car, you'd be crazy to purchase without trying it out first, and scooters are exactly the same.  Unlike most other dealers, we have a dedicated demo fleet that we encourage prospective customers come in and try out.  And when I mean try out, I don't just mean a quick whizz round the car park, but as long as you might need to confirm that it meets your requirements.  And by that we really mean an hour or more if that's what you need!  But we are fortunate that we have easy access to the freeway as well as small hills so you can test our scooters in real-life conditions. And we want you to do it.  We want you to know before you buy that the scooter we sell you meet your expectations based on experience, not just on what we tell you.   The proof is definitely in the riding! 

Now it would be impossible to have a demo of every model that we sell, but we try to have a selection that will allow you to test out the different engine sizes, and the layouts, and of course all the used-models are available for trying out too.   We are also quite happy to let you take out the showroom models, but we tend to reserve this privilige for customers who are finalising their decision.  You wouldn't want to buy a new vehicle that had lots of km on the clock, but we do understand that you need to confirm that you fit the scooter that you are intending to buy.

The value of having a comprehensive demo fleet is that it gives you a chance to see what these scooters are like once they are run in and the engines are loosened up.  It's an investment that not all dealers make, but one that we think is essential.  We hope that it reflects our ongoing commitment to you and the service you can expect to receive once you've made your purchase from us.

Currently we have the following demo models available:

• Piaggio Zip 50 2T - our entry level model, and one of our biggest sellers.  Great quality at an unbeatable price. Australia's top selling 50cc scooter.
  
  
• Piaggio Zip 50 2T - in addition to our standard machine, we've got another, "The Tricolore", which shows what can be done with a bit of investment..  :-)
  

• Piaggio Typhoon 50 - This scooter is sensational.  Brilliant sporty looks at an affordable price.
  
  
• Piaggio Fly 150 - The Fly simply delights our customers with its superb performance and handling without breaking the bank.  If you want to get an idea of how a quality 150cc scooter will perform, this is what to try. 
  
• Vespa LX 150 - 3 valve
  
  
• Vespa PX 150 - "Geno" is our latest demo, a traditional geared scooter.  As is normal amongst geared scooter owners, he won't be stock standard - but set up to give riders a bit of a taste as to what is possible with a PX, half the fun of which is making it your own unique machine!  Having been around since 1977 in various guises, there are so many aftermarket parts for the PX and other classic geared scooters that the SIP catalogue is larger than the Yellow Pages!  For those customers who wish to get a manual motorbike license, the PX is a great way to do it given the much simpler hand shift gear change.  This scooter is the real deal.
  
  
• Vespa GTS 250ie - our top selling 250, and top selling Vespa, the GTS is the Gold standard in the scooter world.  Everything else can be compared to this scooter.
  
  
• Vespa GTS 300 Super - my favourite auto scooter.  Startling acceleration from rest makes it the best urban scooter available.  Its quite literally a blast!
  
  

In order to take a test ride, all you need is your license, we can supply the rest!  If you haven't got the appropriate license, it's still possible that you can test ride - you may just need to be accompanied if you have the proper entitlement/learners permit.   If you aren't sure, then drop us an This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
