Steve is the owner and dealer principal of Ace Scooters. He started riding in 2003, and one of his biggest regrets is that he didn't start earlier!
With a background outside the motor industry, he does things differently focusing the business on the principles of unbeatable customer service to s upport a quality product offering. He started Ace Scooters in 2005, and is not only the top dealer in WA, but also one of the top five Vespa/Piaggio dealers in Australia, because he understands the need to make the process of picking the right scooter as risk-free, easy and fun as possible.
In addition to running the business, Steve has written a number of articles for Scooter magazine, Australia's sole publication devoted to this form of transport. He is the Chairman of the Motorcycle division of the Motor Traders Association (MTA) in WA, and sits on the steering committee for the WA Motorcycle and Scooter Safety Action Group. With a degree and doctorate from Edinburgh University, he is also a sessional lecturer at ECU where he teaches Business Leadership. It's perhaps unsurprising that he has a particularly high level of professional integrity when it comes to looking after customers and running his business, which is most manifest in the honesty and quality of the advice he provides which is sought from all over Australia. Steve owns a white Vespa PX 200, but we think his heart belongs to the Vespa GTS 300 (white, of course!!)
Bill is the chief mechanic at Ace. In a discipline where deep experience does count, Bill has worked in the motor industry as a mechanic for over 25 years. Unlike other establishments, we encourage our customers to discuss their concerns with Bill, because we think it is important that our customers don't feel intimidated when it comes to technical matters. If a part needs to be changed, we talk about it with the customer BEFORE we change it, and show and explain why the work needs to be done. We regularly receive emails from customers specifically thanking Bill for the work he has carried out. Bill currently rides a Derbi Rambla scooter.

Stuff that blokes sometimes take for granted may not be quite so simple if you are physically smaller, so when Rukhsana indicated that she would like to help us, we were only too willing to say yes! Rukhsana has only been riding for a couple of years, but she's already taken to the lifestyle like she was born to it, despite personally having some of those challenges herself! But her enthusiasm, perseverance and experience have made her very quickly an integral member of the team. When she's not at Ace, Rukhsana spends an inordinate amount of time riding her Piaggio X7 300 Evo.
Out of all of us, Andrew has been riding scooters the longest. Originally riding a Vespa ET2 50, he unusually switched brands preferring more sporty looking machines. A PGO Arriba 150, a Bug Hawk 250, a Peugeot Satelis 500, and most recently a Derbi GP1 250. Lower back problems meant that swinging his leg over the GP1 became a bit difficult, and he finally switched back to where he started - and he now rides a Vespa GTS 250ie. He brings a breadth of experience, and an excellent knowledge of safety equipment. Known on the forums as Silverflyer, you can guess what colour his scooters have always been...
Graham works behind the scenes on scooters in need of service and/or repair. Graham rides a beautiful matte silver Vespa GTS 300 Super Sport. With 16 years of riding experience under his belt, he claims that what he loves about riding a scooter is the freedom, the experience of really being aware of every sight, sound and smell around you...the appreciation of your surroundings and environment.

Zach is the youngest member of the team. He rides a yellow Typhoon which gets him between home, school and the surf club. A very modest young man, Zach has a string of medals for beach sprinting and relays at both state and national level. He also makes a mean cup of Joe.
Linda is our newest team member, hopping on a scooter for the first time late 2012 peaked her interest and enthusiasm, and although she doesn't have the years of experience that the rest of the team has, she has a definite passion for scooters...in particular Vespa. She currently rides a blue Vespa GTS 250ie after trading up from a Piaggio Fly 150. Linda's the store barrister and is happy to offer you a lovely foamy cappuccino while you oggle our beautiful machines. Linda is also a mixed media artist and her artistic flare is often reflected in the appearance of her vehicles. Her username on Scooter Community is ScooterDiva...maybe it should be VespaDiva?!?

. and some would say the most important member of the Ace Scooters team, is our coffee machine. The only Italian member of the team, he's responsible for producing Ace Scooters famous coffee. He is the only member of the team that doesn't ride, but has an affinity with our Vespas being steel bodied and Italian built! The coffee however is roasted by one of our favourite customers, Matt, and is often delivered on two-wheels - which we think makes all the difference. We love your work Matt, as do many of our customers.
And our final team members are our many wonderful customers, suppliers and business partners who take the time to recommend us to their friends, family and colleagues. Modern businesses no longer exist in isolation, and flourish through quality interaction with others, and its these connections that make running Ace Scooters an enjoyable experience!
